AEA takes your privacy very seriously. Because of this we want to provide you with explicit information on how we collect, gather, and identify information during your visit to our site.

This information may be expanded or be updated as we change or develop our site. For this reason, we recommend that you review this policy from time-to-time to see if anything has changed.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT AND HOW DO WE USE IT?

Registered and Unregistered Users - at present we collect information on our users in three ways: by examination of the Log Files that all visitors involuntarily leave when they visit any web site - this provides a limited amount of information although it cannot identify the individual concerned; voluntary submission when contacting us; automatic collection of non-personal information and data through the use of Cookies (see definition of Cookies below). The information collected is used to provide user access, system support, knowledge on site use data. This information is NOT being shared with other organisations for marketing purposes.

Registered users only - when 'signed up' and 'logged in' as a registered user, we collect personal and business information in order to provide user access, system support, knowledge on site use data and also provides audit log information on user access.  If you registering as a potential researcher in residence you will be asked to confirm that AEA can use your information in support of researchers in residence programme as detailed on the registration page.

If your details change or information we are holding is incorrect or incomplete then please email us as soon as possible at researchersinresidence@aeat.co.uk and we will make the corrections.

COOKIES

Cookies are small text files a Web site uses to recognise repeat users, facilitate the user's ongoing access to the site and facilitate the use of the site.
